Few things about me

As Dancer he started his training in 1993 at the Gemeentelijke Academie voor Muziek, Woord en Dans in Lebbeke. At the age of 12 he continued his education at the Royal Balletschool Antwerp, Belgium. In 2002 he received a Scholarship at the Bartholin International Ballet Seminar in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2003 he was invited to the seminar Ballet des Jeunes d’Europe, France.

He started his professional career in 2003 at the Royal Ballet of Flanders in Antwerp, Belgium. In August 2006 he became a soloist at the Städtische Theater Chemnitz, Germany. Since August 2009 until July 2013 he danced in the Luzerner Theater in Switzerland under the direction of Kathleen McNurney. In August 2013 he became a freelancer. For Kemptener TANZherbst he danced in 2013 and 2014 in projects from Caroline Finn, Flora in the slaughterhouse and Killing Your Darlings, performed in Kempten and Munich, Germany.

He danced choreographies from Georg Reischl, Félix Landerer, Caroline Finn, Maurice Causey, Ihsan Rustem, Patrick Delcroix, William Forsythe, Ken Ossola, Stephan Thoss, Kinsun Chan, Jochen Heckmann, Nick Hobbs, Nicola Fonte, Marcia Haydée, Thierry Malandain, George Balanchine, Craig Davidson, Boris Randzio, Luca Signoretti among others.
Nominated as Beste Nachwuchstänzer 2007 (Best new generation dancer) in the

German dance magazine Dance for you – edition February 2008.

In August 2008 he founded the npo Interdans to organise an International Dance Festival.

In the context of a project for young choreographers in Weltecho – Chemnitz, Germany, he created in 2008 his first choreography Tres Ludus and in 2009 his second Voodoo 639. Since the Summer 2009 he yearly organizes the International Dance Festival in Lebbeke, Belgium and from 2011 also in Gent and Antwerpen. Spread over the years he created for Interdans See you at the…, Rikke-Tikke-Tik, raW Impressions, Ideas are like fishing, Doors and I know what you missed last month, an excerpt from from Südpol to Südpol. Several choreographies are performed partly or entirely in Dancemakers at the Luzerner Theater. He also created in 2013 Cho’co for Dancemakers.

Ideas are like fishing is performed in 2013 several times in Cisternino and Rome, Italy by the Equilibrio Dinamico Company de Pezze di Greco in Brindisi, Italy.

In 2013 the Luzerner Theater invited him to make the choreography for the opera La Cenerentola from Gioacchino Rossini.

In 2014 IsALF, Luzern, Switzerland, gave him the opportunity to create a full evening length piece: from Südpol to Südpol, which premiered in Switzerland and toured in Switzerland and Belgium.

In springtime 2015 Balletto di Calabria in Montalto Uffugo, Italy invited him to create a new choreography, Le Jardin, performed during the MÒ FESTIVAL in Cosenza. This choreography will be performed in INTERDANS2015.

In 2014 he was invited by Mauro de Candia to teach at the Arte e Balletto Junior in Barletta and in 2015 in Napoli, Italy.
